The switch might be a little hectic but that's what you should expect with most of the switches of that type. The shade might surprise you a bit since when you take it out it seems like a cheap shade. It's plastic but it works and it almost looks like a glass shade from afar. If you're looking for an inexpensive lamp for your living room with a modern design this one might be it. Since it's 150W it should illuminate a large living room, I use a 60W and it illuminates my living room perfectly. Not too bright and not dark at all."
